The "Donauschifffahrt Pyringer-Zopper" shipping company was founded in 1996, with the philosophy to harmoniously combine navigation and catering.

Anton Pyringer is the man behind the scenes, who not only spent his years of apprenticeship in renowned gastronomical establishments, but also gained valuable experience in seafaring as well as in his own companies. This is made evident by him and his crew in the gastronomical achievements on board of both MS Schlögen as well as MS Johanna.

Herbert Zopper looks back on a career of 37 years with the traditional DDSG Donaureisen, a company which existed until 1996; 27 years thereof were spent in the field of passenger transport; not only due to his many years of service in this type of business, but also because of his personal dedication, he has come to know the Danube river very well and have a high regard for it. These two gentlemen's familiarity with navigation and the Danube makes touring on the Danube an unforgettable experience for guests.
